Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has been rumoured to be canvassing support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Unconfirmed reports have it that the former president has taken Peter Obi to some northern Politicians and power brokers.
It’s also alleged that the former president is the brain behind Peter Obi and Yesufu Datti Baba-Ahmed combination and sees the dou as a veritable option for salvaging the Nigerian nation from its current poor leadership.
Notably, Peter Obi and his running mate, Yesufu Datti Baba-Ahmed visited former president Obasanjo in his presidential library, Abeokuta, on Sunday 17th of July, 2022.
According to Yesufu Datti on his Twitter handle, the visit was for him and his running mate, Peter Obi to present themselves to the former president.
A statement which reflects Peter Obi’s rising acceptability across states of the Federation as well as his believe in their capability to revive the fortune of Nigeria.
