According to multiple eyewitnesses, one teacher was reportedly shot dead and another sustained injuries during the attack. The reports further indicate that more than four teachers including the Vise Principal were abducted alongside students by the terrorists.
Our hearts go out to the families of those affected. We pray for the repose of the deceased, the speedy recovery of the injured, and the safe rescue of all those reportedly abducted. May God grant peace, protection, and strength to the people of Lassa Community during this difficult time.
The earlier information was not entirely clear. It has now been confirmed that the vigilantes and the Army laid an ambush in Bdagu, successfully rescuing seven of the kidnapped children and one teacher. During the operation, they also recovered five motorcycles and one AK-47 rifle from the insurgents.
Sadly, the operation resulted in the loss of one vigilante and one soldier. May their souls rest in peace, and may God continue to strengthen and protect our security personnel and citizens.🙏🙏
